When Your Labs Are “Normal” But You Still Don’t Feel Well
Many of my patients have been told their labs are “normal” but still struggle with fatigue, brain fog, gut issues, or other chronic symptoms. My focus is identifying the root causes of these problems and helping patients rebuild their health with a personalized, evidence-informed approach. Visits are available in Albany, GA and through telehealth.

Journey to Wellness
Gain valuable insights into how functional medicine promotes disease prevention, supports optimal health, and extends longevity.
I have undergone advanced training and am honored to be a Shoemaker Protocol™ Proficiency Partner Diplomate—one of only three in the state of Georgia! The Shoemaker Protocol is the only scientifically proven, published, peer-reviewed method to effectively identify, diagnose, and treat Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS). I also have completed an additional CIRS certification through American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M). I offer both in-person and telehealth appointments to accurately diagnose and treat CIRS.
Why Functional Medicine Works
Personalized Care
Functional medicine takes into account the uniqueness of each individual. This human-centered approach considers the whole individual and their unique lifestyle, health, and environmental impacts.
Root Cause Focus
Rather than simply treating symptoms, functional medicine aims to identify and address the root causes of illness. This hands-on approach may help to manage chronic diseases more effectively than traditional approaches that solely address symptoms.
Prevention-oriented
By focusing on the factors that influence long-term health, functional medicine practitioners aim to prevent chronic diseases before they start, which is a much healthier and cost-effective way to manage health.
Comprehensive Care
Functional medicine integrates traditional Western medical practices with what may be considered alternative or integrative medicine, creating a focus on prevention and diet, lifestyle, and stress management strategies.
Improved Health and Wellness
By addressing all aspects of an individual's life, functional medicine can lead to a greater level of wellness and vitality. Restoring balance is the key to restoring health.
Will Koopal Functional Medicine
Rather than ask the questions “What disease?”, “What drug?”, I ask the question “Why?”. You can treat symptoms for years and see little to no improvement. Real healing begins by uncovering the root cause.
